Stephen R. Lincoln, MD, FACOG is a Senior Physician with fifteen years of experience as a reproductive endocrinologist. He is an expert in all aspects of diagnosis, treatment and technology, including intrauterine sperm insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), non-surgical sperm aspiration, donor egg IVF and advanced hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgical procedures. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology as well as in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. In addition to his extensive experience in practice, Dr. Lincoln is the author or co-author of over 30 book chapters and peer reviewed journal articles and has served on the faculty of three university medical schools.
Dr. Lincoln graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1982 with a degree in biology. He completed his medical school training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1986. He then completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at East Carolina University (1990) and subsequently completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology in 1992 at the University of Louisville. Since completing training, Dr. Lincoln has served as a faculty member at the medical schools of the University of Louisville, the University of Mississippi and the University of Tennessee at Memphis, where he was Director of Clinical Services of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and rose to the rank of Associate Professor prior to coming to the Genetics & IVF Institute. Dr. Lincoln has lectured at numerous national medical and scientific meetings and review courses. He is a member of numerous national organizations, including the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the Society of Reproductive Endocrinologists, and the American Medical Association. He is in a select group of physicians elected to the 2007-2008 Best Doctors in America database. Dr. Lincoln has been with GIVF since 1999.

Sunita Kulshrestha, MD, FACOG, graduated with honors from both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. After completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Virginia, she pursued a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She is board-certified in both Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Kulshrestha has an interest in ovulation induction/IUI/IVF/ICSI, reproductive surgery (including treatment of fibroids and endometriosis), the endocrine causes of infertility such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and hyperandrogenism, recurrent pregnancy loss and the psychosocial aspects of infertility. She is fluent in Hindi and familiar with Spanish. Dr. Kulshrestha is an associate professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. She plays an active role in teaching both residents and medical students. Dr. Kulshrestha is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Kulshrestha is an active member of the influential Washington Area Women's Foundation Group of 100, a philanthropic organization whose mission is to help improve the lives of women and children in the DC area. She has received several honors and awards, has presented her research at national meetings and has published widely in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Dr. Kulshrestha has been with GIVF since 2001.

Laurence C. Udoff, MD, FACOG, has practiced Reproductive Endocrinology for nearly fifteen years, specializing in infertility and IVF. He is board-certified in both Reproductive Endocrinology and Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Udoff joined Genetics & IVF Institute from the University Of Maryland School Of Medicine, where in addition to maintaining a clinical practice, he was Assistant Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences. During his tenure at the University of Maryland, Dr. Udoff was Director of the Residency Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Director of the Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) program. He taught hundreds of students and residents.
Prior to joining the Maryland faculty, Dr. Udoff practiced at the highly successful infertility program of The University of Utah School of Medicine, where he helped to establish the first PGD program in the Intermountain West.
Dr. Udoff’s special interests include PGD and methods to improve IVF outcomes. Dr. Udoff is particularly committed to providing personal, customized, medical care and attention for each and every patient.
Dr. Udoff graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Delaware with a degree in Biology and received his medical degree from the University Of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Maryland and completed one fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Maryland and another at the University of Utah. He is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Society for Gynecologic Investigation (full member), the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and the Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis International Society. Dr. Udoff has been the author or co-author of numerous book chapters, abstracts and peer-reviewed articles on topics in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Dr. Udoff speaks frequently at meetings around the country and has appeared on local and national TV to discuss infertility.
Dr. Udoff provides services in infertility, donor egg IVF and family balancing including MicroSort IUIs. Dr. Udoff is also the lead physician on donor egg and egg vitrification.

Ervin E. Jones, PhD, MD, HCLD, FACOG, is a Senior Physician. Dr. Jones is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and in reproductive endocrinology. Dr. Jones is former Professor and Director of the Assisted Reproduction & in vitro Fertilization Program at Yale University School of Medicine and former Associate Director of the Yale Fertility Center, New Haven, CT.
Dr. Jones earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff, his MD from the University of California at Irvine and his PhD in Reproductive Physiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana. After completing his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of California, where he served as Chief Resident, Dr. Jones was a National Institutes of Health Post Doctoral Fellow in Reproductive Physiology at the University of California School of Medicine, Harbor – UCLA and a Mellon Foundation Fellow in Reproductive Endocrinology at Yale, where later he also served as a professor and director of medical education in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Jones has more than 25 years of experience in teaching and in the practice of reproductive endocrinology, infertility and assisted reproduction. He has authored over 170 publications, including book chapters and abstracts. He has received numerous awards, including the Association of Professors of Obstetrics and Gynecology teaching award, the National Medical Association’s Distinguished Physician, Teacher and Scholar award and the Dean's Medical Education Farr prize, Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Jones’s expertise extends beyond teaching and medical practice – he is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Bioanalysts and a High Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD) in Embryology, Andrology and Endocrinology. Dr. Jones has served as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for NIH/NICHD Collaborative Programs in Reproductive Biology.
Dr. Jones is a member of numerous medical societies, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the National Medical Association and American Society for Reproductive Medicine. Named as one of “America’s Top Docs” by Ladies Home Journal, Dr. Jones was honored as one of America’s Leading Physicians by Black Enterprise magazine. In 2000, he was awarded an honorary Master of Arts Privatim by Yale University.
Dr. Jones provides services in infertility, donor egg IVF, family balancing including MicroSort IUIs and recurrent pregnancy loss. Dr. Jones is also the lead physician on MicroSort IUIs.

Harvey J. Stern, MD, PhD joined Genetics & IVF in 1995 and is the Medical Director of Genetics and the Fetal Diagnostic Center. Dr Stern has extensive experience in the evaluation of congenital malformations in the fetus and newborn and diagnosis of genetic syndromes. He is the primary physician involved in providing Amniocentesis, Chorionic Villus Sampling, First Trimester Screening, and Ultrasound for GIVF’s prenatal genetics program. Dr Stern is Medical Director of Fairfax Cryobank and GIVF’s Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) program. He also supervises genetic screening for each of GIVF’s egg donors and oversees GIVF’s Endocrinology Laboratory.
Dr Stern is board certified in Pediatrics and Medical Genetics with subspecialty certification in clinical, biochemical and molecular genetics. He received his undergraduate degree in molecular biology from Columbia College and completed a Ph.D. in Human Genetics at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. He attended medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. After a residency in pediatrics at Children's National Medical Center in Washington DC, Dr. Stern completed a fellowship in medical genetics at UCLA.
Dr Stern is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, American College of Medical Genetics, and European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology. He has also been elected to the International Fetoscopy Group, a highly selective and prestigious group of physicians known for their skills in prenatal diagnosis and genetic medicine. Donald P. Marazzo, MD, MPH, FACOG, FACMG, is Medical Director of MicroSort in the MicroSort clinic. Dr. Marazzo completed his undergraduate degree in Biophysics at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was summa cum laude. He then graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine, and subsequently completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. At the end of this residency, Dr. Marazzo was chosen to complete a Dreyfus Fellowship at King’s College Hospital of London in Ultrasound applied to Obstetrics and Gynecology. He then completed fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology, Infertility and Genetics at the Medical College of Georgia. He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and in Clinical Genetics. Dr. Marazzo has had extensive experience in Assisted Reproductive Technologies while working at IVF-America in Boston. He has directed the Residents’ service in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Charity Hospital in New Orleans (LSU) and Strong Memorial Hospital (University of Rochester). He established an Interdisciplinary Recurrent Pregnancy Loss Center at Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh, while completing his fellowship in Clinical Genetics and researching new methods of PGD for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He completed his Masters of Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh and was invited to present his master’s thesis at the Institute of Medicine, NAS. Dr. Marazzo has been on the faculty of two medical schools. He had been active in District III of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists until he resigned as the Vice Chair of the Pennsylvania section to join the staff at the GIVF Institute. Dr. Marazzo has developed, implemented, and directed numerous clinical protocols in Gynecology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Clinical Genetics at a variety of academic and private institutions.

Maureen Hanton, BS, RN, MPA. Ms. Hanton, Director of Nursing, began her career at GIVF in 1997 after working in prenatal obstetrical care for two years at a practice in Columbia Hospital for Women.
She is a graduate of Radford University 1992, Marymount University 1994 and received her masters in public administration from Virginia Tech in 2004. After working as a nurse clinician at GIVF for seven years, she was promoted to Director of Nursing in 2004.
Teaching the IVF course to new patients at GIVF is one of the aspects she most enjoys about her job, as she strives to help alleviate the stress and fear many patients feel in conjunction with the idea of injectable medication. Ms. Hanton has a strong interest in women’s health and is especially devoted to the cause of fertility awareness.
